busy signal

Tea:  Orange Pekoe

Scripture:  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.  Psalm 139:16

One minor hazard of having a view of God that includes actual omniscience and omnipotence is that one is tempted to look for the deeper meaning in every event.  I had to call my doctor today for a somewhat worrying reason and I got a busy signal.  Most people would have just hung up and tried later.  I, naturally, sat there with the signal beeping in my ear, asking God what he wanted me to absorb from this.

So, does that mean that I am getting serious about the holiness and sovereignty of God and about praying always or does it just mean that the state tests have finally pushed me over the edge?

Why tea?

Well, the alliteration is a nice start.  Tea is known as soothing … a relaxing drink over which to have a conversation, not like coffee - a jolt of energy in a cup over which to launch a revolution.  (Yes, I realize that the tea in the cup above looks very coffee-esque…)

However, since I have been in high school, I have gotten together with friends, family, and pastors to drink tea and discuss theology.  The discussions have not always produced agreement, but they have consistantly provided growth in my walk with Christ and my movement to be more like Him.

This just takes the topic to the digital level.  Pour yourself a cup, pull up a chair, and enjoy the  discourse.
